The Holidays!

Thanksgiving is the next big holiday coming up!

I have already begun creating some fun and elegant Thanksgiving cards. Send 'em out to your friends and family. Let them know that you're thankful to have them in your life and remind them what this great holiday is all about!

I have also put up quite a few place card holders that are great for that big table of family and friends you're having over. Perhaps you could bring them as a house-warming gift if you're travelling to someone else's home for the holiday? One could also use them to label food for a buffet table or as tags to ornament a party favor bag, present, or gift basket!

Too cute!

My friend, Katherine, decided to purchase these cute Pumpkin Photo Cards for a great picture she took of her daughter at the pumpkin patch.

Although she was dissapointed that Wendy wasn't smiling, I think she's super cute and the photo definitely matches the cards perfectly.

Don't forget - the Halloween Special ends this Wednesday. Buy 2 items and receive a FREE 3 Pak of Photo Notecards.

A New Addition to the Creative Mind's Family

I have been busy with a new addition to our family.

After we saw these photos on Petfinder.com we knew that she this 11 week old pup was the one for us. Absolutely adorable and even cuter in person. We took her home after a long Saturday (two weeks ago) of waiting around to make sure that H.A.L.O., Homeless Animal Lifeline Organization. decided whether or not my husband and I were a good match for this cute lil puppy.

As many have said, it's just like having a kid, literally. She needs tons of attention and lots of love. She is getting used to the her new environment and parents as we are to her. Nancy Drew is her name, as she is part bloodhound, and part weimeraner. My husband and I love her!

After a long day of love from her new family, she falls fast asleep . . .

Fall is Officiallly Here!

My my is it cold here in the Bay Area! The furnace needs to be lit, the fire has to get started, and the candles deserve a lighting.

With that being said, Kelly B Crafts now has quite a few things for you to prepare for Fall - Halloween items (which I've shown you before), placecard holders, and tags. Some of them can even be interchangeable. I found that as I was making them, one could easily use them on the dinner table for the holidays, to label their buffet table (so people don't have to guess what Grandma Josephine brought this time), or add them to a present, package, or party favor bag.

Take a look at just a few of the many things that have been added to Kelly B Crafts this week.

7 Autumn Influenced Tags

This next one turned out to be one of my favorites. When I chose the faux wood cardstock paper as the base, I didn't realize that it was double-sided. To my surprise, I noticed toward the end that there was a really neat design underneath. Below you will find two photos of what they look like, and notice in the second one what the "underside" or "inside" of these cute tags and/or place card holders.

Photo Cards

My husband is an amazing photographer. I am a bit biased, most likely, but I find that he has an eye for things that others would normally oversee. I decided recently to put his photos on cards. And today, I put a 12 Pak up of some photo cards titled, "Copper Bells".

I've added some more fun Halloween cards to the website, so don't wait - order your Halloween Cards now!

Hurray for Halloween!

Well, with Halloween being right around the corner, I went crazy this weekend making cards. For some reason, with all the supplies and stamps that I have, could not find the "perfect card." I tried all of the stamps that I had, all the halloween paper I had, and still, could not find something that I personally would buy.

So, I ventured to the local craft store, again (poor me, right?). Do I go straight to the Halloween stuff? Oh no, that would be way too easy. I go up and down all the aisles. This is my way of saying, "Well, you know never know . . . something could be on sale, I could miss something, something could inspire me. Maybe I'll get some ideas if I look at other stuff."

Low and behold, I find WAY more than I need (I could open up my own store with all that I have). I find stuff for "other" projects to begin new ideas, etc. However, I did find JUST what I was looking for. And then some.

Not only did I find just what I needed at the craft store, but when I got home I found stuff that I already had that had not attempted to try previously.

Voila! Aren't they cool? I used black acrylic paint to stamp on this freakish lil cat. It's great for Halloween as I think one of the trademarks are black cats. I put this fun four pak on my website.

As well as this one! I love these cute spiders. I titled this pak, Glitzy Spider Halloween 3 Pak. She, or rather, it sure does shine! All glammed up for Halloween. SHE just needs a pink bow in her hair . . . or maybe it should be orange for Halloween!?

There are more Halloween cards up and I will continue to add more as we count down to our ghoulish holiday! Enjoy!

Welcome friends, family, and well, people that I look forward to knowing!

Due to the attraction of reading about other people's lives and not even KNOWING them, I find myself compelled to create a blog of my own. And being that my life is surely not as boring as SOME people in this world, I figure that I mine as well give it a try. Can't hurt, right?

A little about me and my reason for creating a blog:

1. If I read about other people (mostly friends and their friends), shouldn't they be able to read about me?
2. I just started a business (or two) and want everyone to know more about what I do.
3. To share in the joys and the, well, not so wonderful things, that I have in my life.
4. Why not spend more time on the computer than I already am?

That's not a lot about myself, but you will know more as I go along.

Below is a great item that I recently put up on my website. It's a years worth of cards! The photos below are a sample of what the end result will look like once you choose the cards you would need.

Come and check out my store. When you buy three cards, you get a fourth free (of equal or lesser value) during the rest of September! Simply enter KBCBLOG at checkout. A new invoice will be emailed to you with the correct amount due at checkout.

Happy Shopping!
